Hinalea Imaging to Present Its New High-Resolution Spectral Imaging Cameras at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing

EMERYVILLE, CALIFORNIA ─ April 10, 2018 — Hinalea Imaging, a leading international solutions provider of hyperspectral imaging technology, will present its range of products at the SPIE Defense & Commercial Sensing Exhibition April 17-19 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Hinalea Imaging will be located in Halls A-E – Stand 1524, where it will showcase its suite of hyperspectral imaging cameras.

Hinalea Imaging will also be a part of the Industry Events at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing where Alexandre Fong, Director of Hyperspectral Imaging will present on the topic of “Spectral Imaging in Precision Agricultural Management: Potential for Crop Health Monitoring and Pathogen Detection,” scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:15pm EST at the Industry Stage on the show floor.

“We are excited to present our portfolio of hyperspectral imaging solutions to the SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing audience,” said Michael Bartholomeusz, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of TruTag Technologies. “We recently launched Hinalea Imaging as a new business unit of TruTag Technologies and put a capable team together to focus strictly on advancing our hyperspectral imaging technology. This enables us to provide innovation solutions to our customers in a variety of industries including medical diagnostics, precision agriculture, machine vision, remote sensing, and more.”

“Cost and a means to interpret information have been the major barriers to adoption of hyperspectral imaging, and our goal is remove such obstacles in order to finally unleash the full value of the technology. We are uniquely positioned to meet the increasing need for affordable, compact, and easy to use spectral imaging solutions for a wide array of critical applications,” said Alexandre Fong, Director of Hyperspectral Imaging at Hinalea Imaging.

Hinalea Imaging’s current line of hyperspectral cameras includes:

  • Model 4100H: A handheld, high-precision hyperspectral imaging camera with a built-in illumination source that captures high-resolution snap-shot images, yielding a spectrum at each pixel for the visible through near-IR (400 – 1000 nm) wavelength range for up to 550 bands.
  • Wide-Field Camera: configurable hyperspectral imaging camera system with a wide variety of lens choices to match field of view and working distance requirements for industrial and research applications. It enables single step capture of images with dynamically-defined spectral bands at high spatial and spectral resolutions in the visible through near-IR (400 – 1000 nm) wavelength range for up to 550 bands.

Hinalea Imaging’s international team will be present at the booth to meet and inform customers about the Company’s latest innovations as well as the existing range of proven, high-quality products for industry and research.
